The reason I am sending you this email is because I want to invite you to a Candlelight vigil I am organizing that will be held in remembrance of the rights that once were for 18,000 marriages, and in honor of the rights that one day will be again.
On Saturday, December 20th, JoinTheImpact.com and ImpactHumboldt.com asks that you join us again for a nationwide rally. Candlelight vigils will be held at commercial centers in cities across the country in remembrance of the rights that once were for 18,000 marriages, and in honor of the rights that one day will be again – for everyone.
Where:
The Humboldt vigil will be held outside the Bayshore Mall on the public sidewalk on Broadway and we want to stress we are not protesting the Bayshore Mall, General Growth Properties or any of their merchants.
Many locals and tourists will be passing by as they carry on a 20+ year tradition of visiting the Bayshore Mall during the holidays for their shopping needs. This will be a peaceful candlelight vigil in the spirit of the holidays. No protest signs will be allowed at the vigil or inside the Bayshore Mall after the event. Impact Humboldt & LUTN organizers have went through an small legal dispute with local mall management and GGP Corporate and JUSTICE & FREE SPEECH RIGHTS WON OUT and we been invited to wear our shirts inside the Bayshore Mall after the event. The after party will be at two socials inside the mall. At the vigil you will receive a coupon good for a discount that night for Ice Cream at the LGBT Friendly Nona’s Ice Cream in the Cafe Court. OR you can attend a Holiday Coffee Social and Book Shopping Party at Seattle’s Best Coffee inside the LGBT Friendly Borders Books. Please note while we are in the mall we are not to distribute any leaflets or brochures or disturb the family friendly shopping environment.
When:
Please park/meet by 4:45pm in the Victoria Place Shopping Center parking Lot or the Bayshore Mall Parking Lot. Dress warmly. We will line the public side walk in front of the mall on Broadway (from the McDonald on the South side to Taco Bell on the North side) from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. At 6:00pm, we will all go inside to warm up at Nona’s Ice Cream or Seattle Best Coffee located inside Borders we call it a night everyone is then invited by Bayshore Mall to finish up any last minute holiday shopping.
